Dr. Daniel L. Rodkey is an orthopedic surgeon in Washington State. He specializes in total joint replacement, arthroscopic surgery, and fracture care. He has a special interest in minimally invasive surgery and recovery optimization. He has always had a passion for medicine and healing. After graduating college at Tufts University, he worked in the pharmaceutical industry as a chemical engineer. After realizing he wanted to help patients more directly, he left drug manufacturing for medical school. He graduated in 2017 and completed his orthopaedic surgery training at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center in Bethesda, MD.
In 2023, he moved to Washington State to work at Madigan Army Medical Center and Multicare Health System in Tacoma, WA. Dr. Rodkey serves as a Major in the US Army. He is an associate professor at Uniformed Services University and is actively involved in training resident at Madigan. He deployed to Africa in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
Dr. Rodkey's interest in orthopedics developed from his problem solving skills he developed as an engineer and his compassion for the human experience. He wants patients to feel confident and comfortable that they are getting the best possible care for their orthopedic injuries in order to get them back to peak performance.
A native of Massachusetts, Dr. Rodkey currently resides in Tacoma, Washington with his wife and son. In his spare time he likes to run, travel, invest and spend quality time with family.
